'Drop me home Stranger!!'

Interviewer: 'Do you know Fortran?' Interviewee: 'I believe so, tell me his last name please?'........:)
This was the joke this stranger who gave me a drop back home shared with me.

A bulky guy is walking ahead of me. I had never felt that tired to climb up to the bus station, I passed this man getting into his car and I was moving ahead. Whilst, I am thinking 'How good it would be if this guy ask me if I need a drop'. The very next moment he did! 'Hey you wanna drop?'. I grinned and came back, sat next to him in his car. The first question he asked me 'Heard you tried skiing last weekend?'. Astonished I was, since our ski trip had become such a famous story here in Lillehammer that every stranger knows about it. I started recollecting all the faces around when we were skiing and none of the faces I remembered resembled this face. Then he told me that his wife works with accenture (the company I work with) and she told him about this. He dropped me till home that day and had to turn around his car and drive an extra few miles to reach his home.

What a lovely feeling it gives when you meet a stranger, get to know him or her, get to talk to him or her and share a few minutes of either's experience? Since I was in another country the feeling was even more overwhelming. However I do not think if I had had a similar incident in Bangalore (where I currently live) I would have felt less delighted.

We'll talk soon ! :) Take care till then :)
